[jira] [Commented] (DOXIA-613) Deprecate or remove iText?
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DOXIA-613?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=17139507#comment-17139507 ]
Michael Osipov commented on DOXIA-613:
--------------------------------------
Believe it or not, I still see a LOT of PDFs generated with that old iText 2.1.4 version on the Internet. Many many applications rely on it. I don't know how good (complete) that Doxia module is, but no one of us will put any offert to port it either to a newer version or any other PDF library I guess.

> iText versions for over 10 years have been under the Apache incompatible AGPL. We use a very old version.
> It's probably time to get rid of doxia-module-itext.
