Francois Papon commented on SHIRO-906:
--------------------------------------
It looks like this is related to nonAscii char blocked configuration on the InvalidRequestFilter, there is a boolean to configure this:
https://github.com/apache/shiro/blob/99a6db1cdb6a9a7ebac11cc97302b5d2f5477ff6/web/src/main/java/org/apache/shiro/web/filter/InvalidRequestFilter.java#L55
You have a "ä" char that can be a problem if it identified to be a non printable char.
I will try to add some test to validate.

> {color:#383838}With Shiro version 1.6.0 the upload worked. {color}{color:#383838}Digging through Shiro's code I found {color}

> {color:#383838}return !StringUtils.hasText(uri){color}
> {color:#383838}which means that an URI which is null or has zero length or consists only of whitespace should be considered a valid URI. I am pretty sure this is not what the author intended and that the "!" just needs to be removed to fix this bug.{color}
