   I also thought we could consolidate the byDate and byDateWithLogs view, but the filtering done in the log deletion view predicates the key `emit()` on the existence of logs and the deletion script relies on this to quiesce. I'm not sure if the views can be consolidate in that case, although I wonder if editing the views while also iterating over it is the best way to do the deletion.
