[Sidebar] Win / Linux: layout difference of the color picker?
Hi,
I face a display glitch on the AOO dev build, see this bug report: https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=122198
Armin kindly proposed a workaround (thanks!) but I'm wondering if there isn't some difference of behavior between Windows and GNU/Linux (it works fine by default on the Win version from Armin).
Could someone with AOO 4 under GNU/Linux check if the color picker (for font color for example) gives the same display when called from the main toolbar and from the sidebar? On my system row,col are inverted.

Yes thanks but if someone wants to install the palette, it should be straightforward. It is already a [small] hassle to have to dig in the user profile to install the palette.
So better comply with the new default.

You may, but as I described in the task
(https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=122198) you also may
change the value of 'ColorValueSetColumnCount' in
share/registry/main.xcd in your installation from 12 (default) to 10,
then your palette will be formatted as 10column palette.

For the record, works fine indeed with latest snapshot (AOO400m1(Build:9700)).
Will have to change my palette to fit the 12 columns layout.

Can't see what's going wrong with my version (even with a brand new profile).
Perhaps it has been fixed in a later build. Will try.

Same for me, with a brand new AOO400m1(Build:9700) build, downloaded
from the snapshot URL.
Palettes are identical in both places and match Armin's screenshot in
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/attachment.cgi?id=80620 (not his most
recent screenshot, but his commit was revision 1478676 while the latest
SNAPSHOT tag seems set to r1478430 and thus earlier than that).
