[jira] [Commented] (DRILL-100) Memory caching of results

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DRILL-100?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13699360#comment-13699360 ]

Julian Hyde commented on DRILL-100:
-----------------------------------

I'm very interested in this area. Looking into combining Optiq with Spark, which provides both memory and computation model; also looking into supporting materialized views in in-memory tables (which are strictly more powerful than a query cache, because they would store intermediate results and data sets wider than actually used to evaluate a query).
