I agree with you here. Mentioning "Product xyz uses Velocity" is
fine. I don't think that we want a full-fledged commercial including
pricing.

Hi Jens,

Thanks for the quick response, and appreciate your sensitivity... more
credible for all parties this way. I noticed you took out all links
back to your web site, please feel free to put one back in.

By the way, though I hate to preannounce, we are very close to
releasing Velocity-1.5 (with tons of new features), so please keep an
eye on our home page and the Apache announcement lists for our press
release. We plan to do a "release candidate" shortly followed by an
actual release in February.

(ccing the mailing list to note the issue is resolved)

cheers, WILL

Hi,

MyEclipse is a great product, but what's the connection to Velocity?
I don't mind listing commercial products that have relevance to our
project, but it should be informative (and brief), not sales-oriented.
 This is inappropriate.

To the community... I've met the principals involved behind Genuitec.
It surprises me the firm would engage in such spam-like promotion. I
suggest we give the author a day to explain/revise, but remove
otherwise.

Best, WILL
