Problem to rebuild Xerces

I have a problem to rebuild Xerces-c1_6_0-linux. I have a mandrake 8.2 and
gcc 2.96. When I do "gmake", there is just "CreateDocument" which is rebuild
(it's the last file which is in the makefile). I don't understand why. For
others, it doesn't find file or directory.
