CASSANDRA-721

Hi all,

CASSANDRA-721 (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-721)
contains the following statement:

"Edit: This is only a temporary solution for atomic
increment/decrement operation."

What is the more permanent solution? Is this known yet? Seems like a
reliance on ZooKeeper would not be optimal in comparison with having
some kind of atomic inc/dec native to Cassandra itself? Does anyone
know what's up with this? Thanks!
