error installing tomcat and apached in linux

Hello,

    i have an linux os.i want to install my application.
 i have installed tomcat and apache(linux).

   After i get the following error.

  1.tomcat not started.(tomcat start)
       it gives the following error:- 
                   command not found.

  2.apache server also not started.(httpd start)


       it gives the following error.

            [warn] Loaded DSO libexec/mod_jser.so uses
 plain Apache 1.3 api, this module might crash under EAPI !(pl. recompile 
 it with -DEAPI)
