Type ??

Hi,
 
How do I return this function (which is the an XML document.  here it is
prinetd to the command line.

XMLUtils.PrettyElementToStream(result, System.out);

StringWriter w = new StringWriter();
XmlUtils.PrettyElementToWriter(result, w);
return w.toString();
