[jira] [Created] (XMLSCHEMA-63) XmlSchemaDocument class needed
Mike Beckerle created XMLSCHEMA-63:
--------------------------------------
Summary: XmlSchemaDocument class needed
Key: XMLSCHEMA-63
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XMLSCHEMA-63
Project: XmlSchema
Issue Type: New Feature
Affects Versions: 2.3.0
Reporter: Mike Beckerle
This library lacks a notion of a schema document meaning the object corresponding to all the definitions/declarations and annotations of a single xs:schema XML element from a single file/URL.
Without this it is impossible to implement file-based lexical scoping. That is, when building a language that enhances XSD with annotations, it is impossible to have annotations that appear at the top level of a schema file to apply to only those elements found within that schema file.
