[users@httpd] mod_proxy_ajp support in httpd-2.0
Hi All.
I noticed that mod_proxy_ajp is in the httpd-2.1 apache server but not
in httpd-2.0 and that 2.1 in the FreeBSD ports tree.
I really really want to use mod_proxy_ajp compared to the older
technologies for a new tomcat server I am going to be setting up on
FreeBSD and that I want to be as up to date and stable as possible.
I have already setup a test server with it and it seems to be running
fine but I haven't done any real world tests.
How safe is it to use the new apache2.1 on FreeBSD 5.3 or 5-stable for
the mod_proxy_ajp?
Does any one know if any work is being done to make mod_proxy_ajp in
apache-2.0 or if there is a way to apply a patch to the latest
apache-2.0 release to make mod_proxy_ajp work with it?
Thanks in advance
Mike
