APR Versions

Hello,

Is it possible to upgrade & run a new version of APR with an older
version of Apache?

I have a recently-installed setup of Mandrake 9.1, with Apache 2.0.44
and APR 0.9.2. I have a bunch of other things installed and working
through RPMs (mod_php, mod_ssl, etc) that I'd really rather not mess
with, but I'm sure you're aware that svn versions 0.21 and later do not
compile against APRs older than 0.9.3.

I've downloaded the svn dev tree, and put the latest APR source in an
apr/ directory in the tree, but it still won't compile. Is it possible
to compile svn with the new APR, and have it (mod_dav_svn) run under
Apache 2.0.44? If so, what do I need to do to get it to work? It's still
apparently linking to the system APR, not the new source code tree...

I do have svn 0.20.1 compiled, installed, and working. Great software!
