[GitHub] [iceberg] djouallah opened a new issue, #7965: Limit in pyiceberg don't seems to be pushed down in the scan operator
djouallah opened a new issue, #7965:
URL: https://github.com/apache/iceberg/issues/7965
### Apache Iceberg version
None
### Query engine
Other
### Please describe the bug 🐞
using this code
```
from pyiceberg.expressions import GreaterThanOrEqual
table = catalog.load_table("examples.nyc_taxi_yellow")
con = table.scan(
selected_fields=("vendor_id","trip_distance", "pickup_time", "dropoff_time"),
limit = 10,
).to_duckdb(table_name="distant_taxi_trips")
con.sql('select * from distant_taxi_trips')
```
limit don't seems to impact the scan speed, I was expecting the scan will stop when it reach 10 records, currently it seems it is scanning everything then showing only 10 records.
