[jira] [Commented] (CLOUDSTACK-3252) An instance deployed using explicit or implicit dedication doesn't generate a usage event

Saksham Srivastava commented on CLOUDSTACK-3252:
------------------------------------------------

A usage event is generated whenever a VM instance is deployed and this usage record carries the service offering id which will let know if implicit dedication dedication is being used.
For explicit dedication the information can be retrieved from the corresponding resource : host/pod etc.
Resolving the bug.

> If an instance is deployed using explicit or implicit dedication, or neither of them a usage event isn't generated. It'll be good to have a VM usage event generated so that someone looking at the usage logs can use this information.
