Loosing variables in JMeter

Hello JMeter Users
i've got a constant problem with my variables: During a test they sometimes get lost at a certain place.
For example, I've got 10 HTTP Request, the variables have still values up to the 8th HTTP Request and the get lost.
Can somebody tell me how I can adjust JMeter not to loose these variables? Maybe it is possible to define the memory
capacity in JMeter for testruns.
Thank you for your help

Best regards, sebastian

Changes to memory settings won't help.
