Welcome Ioannis Canellos as Gora PPMC/committer

Hi Folks,

Some time ago I nominated Ioannis Canellos for Gora PPMC and committership.

I'm glad to say that the VOTE tallies in IPMC and Gora PPMC land are back and
Iaonnis has accepted our nomination and agreed to become a Gora PPMC and
committer!

Welcome aboard Iaonnis and feel free to say a bit about yourself.

Cheers,
Chris

Hi,

The site is not a confluence site, but is generated through Apache forrest.
We use confluence as a wiki.

The site has two separate sources, one is for release-dependent docs, and
the other is for release-independent docs.
The release-independent docs are in
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/gora/site/, and the release
dependent
are in /docs under the project.

To update the docs, edit the souce xml and recompile the site with ant docs,
then you can commit the changes to the source
code and the rendered outputs(html, pdf, etc). Then we need to ssh into
people.apache.org and do an svn up on the
gora directory under /www/. You can ask the permission for gora subdirectory
in people.a.o, or i can do it after the commit.

Thanks,
Enis

I was wondering how we make changes in the gora site. I assumed that it was
via confluence, but the gora confluence page is empty for me. Do I need
karma for it, or we update the site a different way?

Thanks,

Before I start talking about myself I would like to thank you about
the invitation.

My name is Ioannis or Yannis or just John (whatever is easier to
remember). I am 31 years old and I work as a software developer at
Upstream Systems (one of the global leading companies in mobile
marketing). My field of expertise is integration, something that
brought me close to technologies like apache servicemix etc. Last year
I started contributing to servicemix and karaf and now i am an active
committer on both. Working on these projects helped me become a fan of
the apache way and so I decided to start contributing on incubator
projects. Gora was the first project that caught my attention. So far
I have worked on the maven integration part, but I'd love to work on
additional stores, osgi compatibility & more.

I would say more but I am on my iPhone....

Thanks again!
