Running MINA inside Jboss

Hi,

I am trying to Run MINA inside Jboss as a Service to process TCP messages. Since messages received have to be processed concurrently I need to create separate threads.

I would like to know Whether MINA can run inside an application Server and whether there is any thread support inside MINA?

Thanks
Shivakumar

I think all committers will agree that you should start any new project with
the 2.x branch.
So probably the FAQ needs to be updated.

Maarten

Which version?

Hi there,

I'm just investigating Mina at the moment, looks great. Could somebody
please confirm which is the right version to use?

The FAQ (http://mina.apache.org/faq.html#FAQ-WhichversionofMINAshouldIuse%3F
) only talks about 1.x versions, but the home page has the recent
2.0.0-M1 release. According to the roadmap, it seems like 2.x is still
under development, but things look nicer in 2. Should I start any new
projects with the 2.x branch or stick with 1?

Thanks,
Igor

By default, MINA creates required threads by itself. If you already have
an Executor you want to use, you can also specify it in the constructurs
of various constructs such as IoAcceptor and ExecutorFilter, at the cost
of managing the lifecycle of the Executor by yourself.
