ANN: New Cocoon Site Live - noise

Hi folx

We're proud to announce to Cocoon-users yet another site utilising Cocoon.

noise 2001 - http://www.noise.net.au/

noise is a youth media festival, where Australians 25 years and under
can submit work to appear on national radio, television, youth
magazines, and an online magazine. Submissions are open now, with the
Fat Boy Slim remix competition already closed. The project is funded
by Commonwealth Government of Australia, and managed by the Australia
Council for the Arts.

VA (my company) has produced the noise website, which does such
things as handle all participant registration and uploading of their
submissions etc.

We have stuck with our back end database system, the Virtual
Community Engine, which is based on 4th Dimension (www.4d.com), and
runs on a Macintosh server. It handles all the "business logic" and
renders out xml and xsl files to a Cocoon server running on FreeBSD.
Most hits to the site involve Cocoon only munging of xml and xsl (and
xsp), but all the submission pages involve Cocoon requesting live XML
data from the VCe.

We like it.

The site has been live since the noise launch on 28th February.

All comments greatly appreciated.

Can this site be added to the Cocoon website please?

Also, VA (.com.au) now provides Cocoon and Servlet hosting, on
FreeBSD / Apache / Tomcat servers. If we could also be added to the
ISP's list please?

Thanks

-jesse
