(microsoft jdbc driver) tomcat autoreconnect to database

Hello All.

Tomcat (5+) and Database server (sql server 2000) are
both on different boxes. How can i enable tomcat to
auto reconnect to the Database if the database server
is rebooted (and thus original connections were lost)
without restarting Tomcat?

someone please point me to the solution if this was
asked before.
