--- Comment #1 from Raimond Sinivee <ra...@gmail.com> ---
I reproduced the problem with AOO 3.4.1:
1. I downloaded the example file and saved that with MS PowerPoint 2013 to PPT
format.
2. Then I opened the PPT and PTTX files with AOO. The charts where shown with
PPT, but not with PPTX.

The chart objects are shown, but not the content of them. I checked the
settings of the charts and could not find a way to make the content visible.

The MS PowerPoint 2013 warns that the SmartArt graphics and shapes can’t be
saves as editable objects and will be converted. That tells me that PPT file
format also does not support these charts.

I think that the problem has been first reported here:
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=117367 as “pptx import: embedded
charts are not displayed” and this is duplicate of that.

The matter has been discussed here:
http://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=41914 and here:
http://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?t=48204&p=221888 where it is
suggested to not to use AOO for this kind of charts.
