[jira] [Created] (OAK-3208) Exercise for External Authentication, IDP and User Synchronization

angela created OAK-3208:
---------------------------

Summary: Exercise for External Authentication, IDP and User Synchronization
                 Key: OAK-3208
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OAK-3208
             Project: Jackrabbit Oak
          Issue Type: Sub-task
          Components: exercise
            Reporter: angela
            Priority: Minor

the exercises section for the 'authentication/external' topic is still completely empty and just contains an initial introduction stub.

possible areas for exercises are:
- understand the basic concepts (e.g. using LDAP integration as example)
- understand the external login module, how it interacts with external IDP
- learn how the the external IDP works and how custom implementations can be used
- train the user synchronisation: configuration of existing default implementation, plugging custom implementations, how it is used during authentication, the jmx integration....
