Next steps?

Happy holidays everyone!

Most volunteers, myself included, often have more time during the holidays,
so I wanted to check if I there are any outstanding issues that might need
mentor attention.

Otherwise, the report is due 1/3. Yaniv, do you have everything you need
there?

Thanks!

Davor

Assuming you've tried multiple times, with multiple email addresses, the
account might be locked by a large number of attempts.

Please email general@incubator mailing list for further steps on this
issue, and hopefully one of the administrators might be able to help.

Hi Davor,

I'm getting the login issue from
https://wiki.apache.org/incubator/FrontPage?action=login which is odd
because I used to be able to log in using that address, also, the reset
password doesn't send me the reset token email.

Cheers,
Yaniv

Account "YanivRodensky" currently has access to the wiki. Remember that
Incubator Wiki account is different than the ASF account or ASF Jira
account. Please double-check that you are trying to reset the password for
the right account.

JB, can you check whether you can add Yaniv to the PMC group in Jira?

Please file a new JIRA ticket against Infra, akin to INFRA-12202 [1],
cc-ing mentors.

I'd say this sounds unlikely in the near term. Testing priority should
probably be against Apache Hadoop releases, and we should look to set that
up through the Infra-supported tooling (Travis, Jenkins, Appveyor,
buildbot, etc.). Once we have this in place, we can look into further steps.

Hi JB,

For some reason, I can't login to the wiki anymore (I'm getting Invalid
username or password).
I've tried resetting my password but that doesn't work either.

Hi,

thanks for the update.

Let's start with Jira and wiki. Can you check about the wiki first ? Do
you need any help for the report content ?

JB

Excellent,

Here are the open items on my end:
JIRA:
  - Non of the PPMC members can’t assign tasks.
  - We also can’t create Scrum boards.

Travis CI
  - we would like to add Amaterasu too Travis, when I connect to Travis my
GitHub account Amaterasu doesn’t come up.

Podling report
  - last time I wasn’t able to post the report (but I was really late, so
that could be the reason, or I might be doing something wrong I suggest one
of the mentors will submit with me next time, maybe I can meet with Oli in
person and try to post it.

Integration tests
  - this is for a little bit further down the line, but we would like to
run integration tests on different Hadoop distros. So we would need to
setup some clusters in the cloud, is there anyway to get a cloud account
from the ASF for that?

I think that’s it for me, does anyone else have open issues?

Cheers,
Yaniv

Hi Davor,

Good idea. I'm also available today and tomorrow (not on the evening but
during day).

@Yaniv, any need for the report (you should be able to edit the wiki
yourself) ?

Thanks,
Regards
