[jira] [Commented] (TS-1966) Make ProxyAllocator slot size configurable

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TS-1966?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13698287#comment-13698287 ]

Leif Hedstrom commented on TS-1966:
-----------------------------------

So, this turns out to be pretty damn hairy, at least without significant performance implications...

James had a good idea, putting this setting into the command line arguments to traffic_server. This can then be modified from the defaults through records.config via proxy.config.proxy_binary_opts .

> Right now, the max number of slots for all Proxy Allocators is fixed, I believe at 500. Above this, a proxy allocator will fall back to the global allocator.
> This should be configurable, via records.config if possible.
