Java API for SOAP Messages

Hi

I need Java library for dealing with SOAP messages (e.g., creating and
reading soap messages, serializing objects, deserializing objects,
etc.). I don't actually need a complete server, only a library.

Can Axis be used only for this (i.e., without using it as a server)?
In particular, what does Axis provide with respect to SAAJ,
http://java.sun.com/webservices/saaj/index.jsp, or JAXM,
http://java.sun.com/xml/downloads/jaxm.html?

I'm actually a little bit confused by all these technologies...

thanks in advance
	Lorenzo
