How to catch response in Jmeter

Hi everyone,

I want to make such a script that runs at scheduled time and send us an
email or goto some URL if it gets a 400 response from server. Is there any
way to do that in Jmeter.

Hope you answer this question.

Also have a look at the Mailer Visualiser:

download beanshell (does not come with jmeter) from this url:
http://www.beanshell.org/bsh-2.0b4.jar
put this jar-file in your ./lib-directory.

now you can use a beanshell assertion like this:

if (ResponseCode.equals("400") {
    //enter java code here to send email (use e.g. java mail api)
}

it's that easy :)

cheers,
   chris
