+ ||<)>'''Training Abstract:'''|| The fastest way for you to learn everything you need to know about Tomcat. If you are an administrator, developer, release engineer, or perhaps a bit of all, then this training is for you. Whether you are an expert or a beginner, you are guaranteed to learn something new in this class. The curriculum spans from basic Tomcat configuration to advanced tuning of both Tomcat and the JVM. We'll go over several different deployment methodologies, with and without web server connectors, load balanced or not, and how to maximize the performance of Tomcat in your infrastructure. You'll learn how to troubleshoot Tomcat, how to classify different types of error messages and how to correctly reconfigure your server based on the actual error. Towards the end we will take a deep dive into the core of Tomcat, learning both architecture and code, and how to write your own Tomcat components. ||
+ ||<)>'''Speaker bio:'''|| Mark has been using and developing Tomcat for over six years. He first got involved in the development of Tomcat when he needed better control over the SSL configuration than was available at the time. After fixing that first bug, he started working his way through the remaining Tomcat bugs and is still going. Along the way Mark has become a Tomcat committer and PMC member, volunteered to be the Tomcat 4 & 7 release manager, created the Tomcat security pages, become a member of the ASF and joined the Apache Security Committee. He also helps maintain the ASF's Bugzilla instances. Mark has a MEng in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, UK and is currently a Senior Software Engineer and Consultant with the SpringSource Division of VMWare. ||
