[jira] [Created] (AURORA-1068) Document task throttling algorithm
Jay Buffington created AURORA-1068:
--------------------------------------
Summary: Document task throttling algorithm
Key: AURORA-1068
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AURORA-1068
Project: Aurora
Issue Type: Task
Components: Documentation
Reporter: Jay Buffington
The user guide should explain the algorithm used to determine when a task will be throttled.
The command line arg flapping_task_threshold help says "A task that repeatedly runs for less than this time is considered to be flapping."
It seems like I also need to be able to configure the window size and the max number of runs in the window for a full definition of flapping. I don't see those settings anywhere in the code.
