Bean-scope on different systems????

Hi.

Hope, somone can help me with this:

I developed an jsp-application under Win2k.
The application spans a bean with scope Session.

After finishing the application i installed tomcat on a nt-server to run the
application at my customers office.
But the scope of the bean had to be corrected to run the application
correctly.

Is anyone able to explain me the correct specifikations of the different
scopes and why it's not working correctly under nt-server?
