lot of additional packages we had on old build slaves are missing, e.g. bison, flex, etc.

We have lot of dependencies to build Apache Thrift.
some are listed here:
http://wiki.apache.org/general/Jenkins#Setting_up_a_Ubuntu_slave
However, they are not installed on the build slaves and  e.g. boost version is too old
