[jira] [Commented] (INFRA-11317) New git repository falcon-site for Falcon + gitwcsub

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-11317?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15167401#comment-15167401 ]

Geoffrey Corey commented on INFRA-11317:
----------------------------------------

Since the site directory is not in a standard trunk/branches/tags layout, the svn->git migration scripts will not work correctly.

For this, we can create an emtpy repo (falcon-site.git) and you (someone in falcon) can copy over the site contents to the new repo. The only thing you must do to get the gitwcsub part to work (after we add falcon-site.git to the config) is to put the generated site in the asf-site branch.

> Would like to move Falcon site from svn to git. Basically, svnpubsub to gitwcsub
> Please create a falcon-site git repo.
> Once you have created the same, believe I just need to create a asf-site branch and check in the html files there. correct?
