OT: sending mails from apache.org addresses / Thunderbird

Hi guys,

since I didn't get any kind of feedback from infra@ I'd like to know if
anyone uses Thunderbird/Linux and is able to send mails from his/her
@apache.org address.

I tried to follow
<http://www.apache.org/dev/user-email.html#via-smtp-based-mail-submission-service-recommended>
but neither my LDAP nor my SSH password seem to work.
What's the correct username to send mails?
