[jira] [Created] (AMBARI-14544) HS2 stdout and stderr files should
be named appropriately
Ajit Kumar created AMBARI-14544:
-----------------------------------
Summary: HS2 stdout and stderr files should be named appropriately
Key: AMBARI-14544
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-14544
Project: Ambari
Issue Type: Bug
Components: ambari-server
Affects Versions: 2.3.0
Reporter: Ajit Kumar
Assignee: Ajit Kumar
Fix For: 2.4.0
Ambari redirects stdout to hive-server2.out file and stderr to hive-server2.log file. The hiveserver2 log4j file is called hiveserver2.log .
The naming of these file is confusing. Many other components have *.out file for stdout file and *.err file for stderr.
Hive stdout/stderr file name should be changed to make it less confusing and consistent with other components.
