Xalan1.0 Development efford

Hi All,

Is there already some development efford to update the Xalan development
to the latest version of Xerces.

If not, I would like to provide services to do so. Even if it is already in
development stages please let me know if I can contribute.

Switch to Xalan 2.0, which should work with current versions of Xerces 
(and has many, many, MANY other changes as well!)
