[jira] [Created] (INFRA-6573) remove broken HTML export of Qpid confluence and redirect to the actual Confluence instance.

Robbie Gemmell created INFRA-6573:
-------------------------------------

Summary: remove broken HTML export of Qpid confluence and redirect to the actual Confluence instance.
                 Key: INFRA-6573
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-6573
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Task
      Security Level: public (Regular issues)
          Components: Confluence, Other/Misc
            Reporter: Robbie Gemmell

Historically, the Qpid project used an HTML export of our Confluence wiki at https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/qpid/ as the basis for out website via an HTML export, however this hasn't been the case for some time as we moved to a standalone site some years ago.

The HTML wiki export has however remained available at https://cwiki.apache.org/qpid and unfortunately the recent confluence upgrade to 3.5.17 (see INFRA-6406) has somewhat broken this export, with most of the leaf pages containing the real content simply failing to generate and resulting in 404 errors.

Since the website is now separate and we are generally aiming to keep user documentation in subversion and published via that site, this minimises the amount we are using the wiki and obviously the Confluence 5.1 upgrade will remove the export functionality entirely, so following discussion [1] we would like to stop the export process now, remove the broken HTML export there currently, and redirect users from https://cwiki.apache.org/qpid to the actual Confluence instance at https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/qpid

I have had a look around and not been able to figure out if/how we can do this from our side. Can you assist by doing this, or pointing out how we can do so ourselves?

Thanks,
Robbie
