[jira] [Closed] (XMLBEANS-522) Is the Apache POI PMC responding to XMLBEANS JIRAs?

     [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XMLBEANS-522?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ]

Dominik Stadler closed XMLBEANS-522.
------------------------------------
       Resolution: Not A Problem
    Fix Version/s: unspecified

I think this is not a bug-report per-se, but rather a discussion, so nothing that can be "fixed" right now.

If there are things that need more discussion, let's do that on the mailing list and handle any resulting action items as issues for XMLBeans if necessary.

> Since POI has kindly taken over the xmlbeans software and made a new release (yay!) the question remains: do the rest of the publicly-visible support methods listed anywhere on xmlbeans.apache.org work for a new user, or are they being ignored?
> xmlbeans.a.o now looks like a normal project, with the exception of a few callouts that note that POI has taken over after the Attic.  However there are still plenty of links on the website, including one linking here that says:
> {quote}If you encounter a bug, you can open a bug report here: JIRA XMLBeans
> {quote}
> It's not fully clear to new users exactly what parts of xmlbeans.a.o are being watched for feedback.
> This is primarily a question for the POI PMC, but obviously improvements to how we document & expect projects to come out of the Attic would be good as well, making the distinction clear between "software" (releasing a new .jar) and "project" (as a whole).
