Installation problem

hello everybody! i've installed xindice 1.0 on winXP; after configuring
like it s written in the INSTALL.WINDOWs file, i make startup...everything
wokrs fine til it says FATAL ERROR....here's it in the prompt:
DATABASE: 'db' initializing
Hello
here
Db
Filter : 'HTTPHandler' added to filtering chain
Filter : 'XMLRPCHandler' added to filtering chain
Script : "Get" added to script storage
Service: 'db' storage
ERROR: could not start service HTTP server
Service: "APIService" started
FATAL ERROR: service manager could not be started

could anybody help me? thanxthanxhthanx
