This problem is solved on the latest v2.8.4.  (I checked this on the http://sandbox.jspwiki.org)

Plse compare the sorting functionality of v2.8.4 with v2.6.1.  You should look in jspwiki-common.js, in the Sortable class implementation.
Be aware that sorting of dates relies on the locale settings of your browser !
