Sling CMS is currently built with Java 8 and runs on Java 11 but does not build on Java 11 or 17. 

Given that Java 8 has had it's final public release, and there are already two LTS releases for Java available (11/17), let's deprecate support for Java 8 in the CMS and target builds for 11 and 17.
