berkely db xml for svn client?
could berkely db xml be an option for storing the working copy
administrative data?

And both groups can be accommodated by decreasing the number of files
and/or filesystem operations related to the admin area. But this is an
age old discussion not worth repeating (again).

The point is that some people want to be able to use networked working
copies (or have to) and others don't. It would be nice to accommodate
both groups. If libsvn_wc is modified to be able to use a Berkeley DB
database for the admin files, then it must still also support the
current method of storing admin files (or some other method that allows
people to use networked working copies.)

Well, many of us in the corporate world only have network mount access
and have to beg and plead for local hard drive access. Even then its
usually not backed-up or supported.
I ONLY have network mounted working copies. And its a royal pain.

Hoo! Easy on the knee-jerk there :-)
Yes, we could use it in the working copy. Maybe not for everybody, but it
could certainly be used.
I never have network-mounted working copies, so if a solution like solo's
suggestion was an improvement, then yah: I'd definitely use it.

No, because it's just a wrapper on top of BDB, and BDB doesn't work on
network-mounted drives, therefore we can't use it in the working copy.
