As mentioned before, On my CentOS-based system, yum remove perl-homedir
resolved the issue

Seems to be related to PERL_MM_OPT env variable.  More reading at
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/30002367/cant-install-a-perl-module-from-cpan
but considering this resolved
