[jira] [Commented] (MESOS-683) Support reconfigurable replicated log

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MESOS-683?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14108656#comment-14108656 ]

Joe Smith commented on MESOS-683:
---------------------------------

[~jieyu]- is this feature not implemented? This is only required for a 0-downtime reconfiguration, correct? (Aka, if we take down a system using the replicated log, change the quorum size, then start it up again, it should work?)

> Currently, the replicated log is not configurable, which means once the size of a quorum has been decided (e.g. 2), we cannot change that. The need for reconfigurable replicated log comes from two scenarios:
> 1) To survive disk failures.
> 2) Allow us to add/remove replica dynamically without stopping the scheduler.
