Client side customizations for accepting a complex object fom the web-service

Hi,

My web-service returns a complex object, to support which I added the type mapping tag in the service definition.
I also invoked the registerTypeMapping() method on the client side. Everything works fine till this point.

Is it possible for a client to accept a complex object returned by the web-service without adding any customization (like calling the registerTypeMapping () method) on the client side?
Can this be achieved by means of server-side customizations alone?
The question comes to mind because I need to interface my web-service with an already present and developed client, over which I have no control.

Warm Regards,
Meenal Srivastva
