What is/where is "res_setoptions" set?

Hello to all,

I'm still trolling for info. regarding the debug information that I can't seem to turn off.  When the system reboots, the message:

;; res_setoptions(" debug     including the apparent CRLF
", "conf")..


. . .repeats several times.  When I use tools such as whois or nslookup, I get a plethora of debug information, that is now bugging me.  Any suggestions?
