Hi Thomas,
I am not sure if I am supposed to update here. Just let me know if I am not supposed to. I used the 2.0-beta1 that is the latest i got from the website. Used the below code and I am getting the same error.

Error:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.String cannot be cast to org.apache.commons.jcs.engine.control.group.GroupAttrName
	at org.apache.commons.jcs.access.GroupCacheAccess.getGroupKeys(GroupCacheAccess.java:174)
	at com.informatica.mdmbde.jcs.example.EmployeeManager.<init>(EmployeeManager.java:30)
	at com.informatica.mdmbde.jcs.example.EmployeeManager.main(EmployeeManager.java:62)
