[jira] [Commented] (CASSANDRA-9737) Log warning when using an aggregate without partition key

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-9737?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14632348#comment-14632348 ]

Robert Stupp commented on CASSANDRA-9737:
-----------------------------------------

I think this makes sense. Using UDAs across > 1 partition is an anti-pattern and a warning is fine - a warning in the log and a client warning.

> After a discussion with [~pmcfadin] thought it best to raise this. Aggregates are awesome but they are going to be mis-used. There are very few cases I can think of where we'd want users to use them across partition so maybe we should log a warning like with large batches?
