Tomcat 1.3 jserve install problem under Apache 1.3.12
Greetings,
This my first general alarm requesting assistants building and installing
jserve that comes as part of the standard Tomcat 1.3 source package under
Solaris 2.6 (Ultra 60). First of all, I have confirmed that I have built
Apache with DSO and Perl support with the following command:
./configure --/prefix=/path/to/apache \
--enable-module=rewrite \
--enable-shared=rewrite \
--with-perl=/usr/local/bin/perl
Next, I attempt to compile and and build the mod_jserv.so shared object with
the Apache exension tool:
/usr/local/bin/perl . $APACHE_HOME/bin/apxs -c *.c -o mod_jserv.so
The script returns immediately without processing anything. No output is
generated and nothing gets compiled. I am using the 4.2 version of the Sun
compiler that comes with worksop, Perl 5, and have verified the correctness
of my PATH variables.
Can anyone point out what I might be doing wrong or suggest an alternative
to building jserv without the apxs extension tool?
Thanks!
