License?
Hi,
It's sounds that the open-source software could be used
in commercial project under the Apache License.
That's true?
If true, is there any case that I must pay for the softwares, like Derby?
Thanks!
a cup of Java, cheers!

I think your questions are answered the Apache license FAQ at
http://www.apache.org/foundation/licence-FAQ
(This link is available from http://db.apache.org/derby/license.html )
Short story (disclaimer: I am not a lawyer):
As long as you follow the license terms, you do not have to pay anything to use
Derby.
