State of Master/Slave

What is the release state of the Master/Slave configuration? I'm using the
M4 and SNAPSHOT release in a simple Master/Slave configuration, and it
doesn't seem to work right. When testing with topics, the broker locks up,
and during failover, it pretty much loses all the messages. The
documentation says Master/Slave will be available in the M5 release. I am
testing something that isn't ready yet?

Master/Slave has been ready for a while though a couple of bugs were
found post M4; I'd recommend using RC2 though it seems to work fine in
RC1.
