Review Comment:
   Updated in 65f6b3046ddb6a76cbc0f92ab31509414bae18c1
   
   Unforunately it cannot be changed to `unique_ptr` due to use cases like the controller socket publisher and the C2 metrics publisher. These publishers are being queried for metrics information instead of publishing them periodically like the others. These publishers are retrieved from the store with the `getMetricsPublisher` method. To minimize the sharing of the resources the method only returns a `weak_ptr` to the publishers so ownership is not entirely shared, the `weak_ptr` is only locked when used in these cases.
